What does Rent Rite do?

Rent Rite equipment is a construction equipment rental company, specializing in aerial lifts, forklifts and earth moving equipment, specifically Bobcat and JLG brand equipment.

What type of equipment do you have for rent?

The major categories of rental equipment include; scissor lifts, boom lifts, skid steer, mini excavators, and forklifts. Other rental categories include; trailers, concrete prep, scaffolding, compaction & trenching, concrete breaking & cutting, stump grinders and chainsaws.

Where is Rent Rite located?

Rent Rite is located at 1260 E Higgins Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

What are your hours of operation?

Rent Rite is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Do you rent equipment to homeowners?

Yes. All our equipment is available for homeowners to use. Familiarization training can be provided prior to any rental.

Do you offer delivery of the equipment?

Yes, most of the equipment Rent Rite rents can be delivered, for an additional fee. Rent Rite serves Northeastern Illinois with service up to the Wisconsin border, east to Chicago and to the Indiana border, west to the Rockford area and south of Joliet.

How quickly can you deliver?

In many cases we can deliver on the same day, with next day delivery easy to accommodate. Our typical weekday delivery hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Is delivery available for ground level and dock height?

Our standard delivery rates are for ground level deliveries, however for an additional fee, we can deliver to a raised dock. This should be disclosed at the time of placing an order, to ensure the correct delivery truck is scheduled.

Can I pick up equipment and transport it myself?

Yes, equipment can be picked up at our office in Elk Grove Village. You can use your own trailer or for an additional cost a trailer can be provided. We reserve the right to refuse transportation of our equipment on any trailer we deem unsafe or undersized for the rented equipment.

Does Rent Rite rent trailers?

Yes, Rent Rite rents trailers. All our trailers operate with electric brakes and require the tow vehicle to be equipped with an electric brake controller. We do not allow our trailers to leave the State of Illinois.

Do you need a license to operate the equipment?

Not all equipment requires formal training to operate. OSHA requires operators of scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts and telehandlers to complete a formal certification.

How can I get trained to operate equipment?

At no cost, Rent Rite is happy to provide familiarization training at our office in Elk Grove Village. Some equipment does not require formal training to operate; however, forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers require ANSI certified training.

For an additional fee, Rent Rite offers monthly ANSI approved training for forklifts, MEWP (scissor lifts & boom lifts), and telehandlers. Consult our training page for additional information.

Do you require a deposit?

No, we do not take a deposit. At the start of the rental, the full amount of the rental is due. Equipment will not leave our yard until the contract is paid in full.

What method of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. Customers who are set up on account may pay with ACH and check.

Is insurance required to rent equipment?

Insurance is not required to rent equipment. You may choose to provide a certificate of insurance (COI) to waive the damage waiver fee. A sample COI and insurance requirements can be found under the Resources tab on our website. The COI must be on provided and approved prior to the start of the rental.

Can I cancel or postpone the start date of my rental?

If something changes about the start date of your rental, we can postpone or cancel any rental, if it has not left our yard. If the rental is cancelled in the appropriate time, it will be eligible for a full refund.

What happens if the equipment malfunctions?

If you have an issue with your equipment, stop using it immediately and call our office for assistance.

Do I have to put fuel in the equipment when I am done?

All equipment leaves our yard with a full tank. When equipment returns to our yard, fuel will be checked and filled back to full, you will be charged for reimbursement of any missing fuel.

Do I need to call when I am done with the rental?

When you complete your rental, you must call off the equipment by contacting our office. If equipment is not called off it will remain on rent and be billed accordingly.

Does the equipment have to be cleaned when I am done?

We understand that equipment gets dirty when being used. Our rental price includes a quick cleaning. In the event of excessive cleaning (typically more than 15 minutes) will incur a cleaning fee, billed at an hourly rate.
